Intellectual property for strategic industrial technologies

As energy systems and materials supply chains evolve, proprietary chemistry, manufacturing processes, software, brands and know-how require jurisdiction-specific protection. Our IP work focuses on the technologies—not on acquiring mineral assets or developing energy projects.

IP questions for energy and minerals innovators

Can foreign battery technology companies seek patent protection in Argentina?

Yes, subject to the applicable filing requirements, deadlines and substantive patentability criteria. A suitable strategy depends on the invention, prior disclosures and existing filings. We can help scope and coordinate the relevant IP work.

Does a PCT application automatically protect an invention across Latin America?

No. Patent protection is territorial. An international application does not itself grant enforceable patent rights in Argentina or other Latin American jurisdictions. National or regional filing steps and deadlines must be assessed country by country.

Can you coordinate IP protection for sodium-ion battery chemistry or mineral processing technology?

We can discuss patent strategy, portfolio coordination and related intellectual property needs for battery chemistry, materials and industrial processes, subject to a conflict check and assessment of the particular technology and jurisdictions.

Do you provide mining concessions, mineral sourcing or energy project development?

No. Our offering here is intellectual property counsel and coordination. Mining permits, concessions, project development, geological assessments and commercial sourcing require different specialist advisers.

Do you have your own offices in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas?

LIT·IP works with a network of independent local IP correspondents to coordinate matters across jurisdictions. These are not represented as LIT·IP-owned offices.

How can a foreign company contact LIT·IP?

Send an email to alejandra@lit-ip.com with a brief description of the technology, target countries and required IP services. Please avoid sending confidential technical disclosures before appropriate arrangements are in place.
